Ready for summer...
Phoenix was fabulous! Hot and dry. We played lots of golf and had lots of laughs with some of our favorite people. We are refreshed and ready for a busy summer!

Ready, set, vacation!!!!

I'm sooo excited! It's been a very long time since my husband and I have been able to travel anywhere together. In the past with his career, and now our bar business it's been nearly impossible for him to get away. But, we've been orchestrating an opportunity for a little vacation for several months now and we are actually going to go to Arizona for a few days....together, in the same plane! Yayyyyy! Hot sun, golf, pool, friends, fun. This little romp will be just the "attitude ajustment" we need. A chance to get away from the RAIN and uncooperative spring weather here in the Pacific Northwest. Hopefully when we get back spring will finally have arrived! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Pinterest is quickly becoming an addiction for me and I enjoy it wayyyy more than Facebook. Right-brained folks like me seem to have a need for constant visual stimulation. My creativity seems to dry up if I'm not constantly feeding this need.
For years I had a very expensive addiction to magazines. Home decor magazines, fashion, art, how-to. The list of category interests goes on and on and much to my husband's delight, thanks to the internet and sites like Pinterest, I no longer have the need to store or spend money on those overpriced magazines.
I've been using Pinterest for a few months now but never really took the time to learn how to use the site to it's best advantage until today. First, I went to their "About" page and learned as much about the site as I could and how to use it and then awhile back I repinned a pin on a very informative blog post from "Blogging With Amy" on "The Ultimate List of Pinterest Tips". Lots of useful info here.

Vrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooommmmm!!!!
You know the saying "possession is 9/10th of the law"? Well, it is my MY garage....and, I Do have the keys..... Haha, I just wish MY name was on the title!
Some very dear friends of ours sold their home in a nearby town and purchased a house a couple doors down from us. The closings on these two homes are a few days apart leaving my friends homeless until Tuesday. So, meanwhile, our gargage is where their overflow is parked for the time being and our friends are parked at a local Holiday Inn, cooling their jets so-to-speak, until we can all get them moved in next week or so.

Meanwhile I have been getting ready for the "14th Annual Mother's Day Studio Tour". (Official announcement soon but here is a link: http://www.camanoarts.org/studiotour.) In about 3 weeks Camano Island will be crawling with tourists whose goal it will be to visit as many local artist's studios as they can and they can do this over two weekends. May 11-13 and May 19-20. So come and visit us and if you would like to see my work in person during the tour, (or anytime) you can do so at Seagrass Gallery here on beautiful Camano Island in Washington. I will be at the gallery on May 20 so come say "hi".
